
ABOUT JOHN PESCHONG

Supervisor John Peschong has been serving San Luis Obispo County residents on the Board of Supervisors since his election in 2016, and his subsequent re-election in 2020.
Throughout his tenure, John has spearheaded and supported initiatives aimed at bolstering public safety, tackling the homelessness crisis, enhancing water storage and accessibility, investing in infrastructure, and fostering economic growth in the county. He has also been vocally opposed to new tax hikes and promoted fiscal responsibility.
John currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, bringing positive leadership to the county and ensuring an open and fair policy making process. John previously served as Chairman in 2017 and 2018.
Outside of public service, John is the founder and co-owner of a small independent business located in Templeton. As a small business owner, John has created local jobs and been involved in the community as a member of several local Chambers of Commerce.
Committed to the well-being of future generations, John has always been passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for the youth of San Luis Obispo County. John and his family active support local charitable causes, including the Paso Robles Children's Museum, the Templeton Little League, the San Luis Obispo County YMCA, and the local 4-H.
Recognizing the significance of the county's agricultural industry, John is dedicated to preserving its heritage. He remains an engaged member and supporter of the San Luis Obispo County Cattlemen's Association and the San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau. His extensive experience also includes eight years coordinating the annual 12-day fair and youth educational programs as a member of the California Mid-State Fair Board of Directors and the Mid State Fair's Heritage Foundation.
John and his family proudly call Templeton their home.
