Templeton, CA— Small business owner and community leader, John Peschong has received the endorsement of San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Lynn Compton.

Elected to the county board in 2014, Compton has been an advocate for regulatory reforms that incentivize small business growth and increase job opportunities. She is the co-owner of Valley Farm Supply Inc., a company that equips growers throughout the Central Coast and Southern California regions with a variety of agricultural supplies.

“John is a proven leader for this community,” said Compton. “His moral character and passion to see everyone succeed, coupled with his dedication to protecting taxpayers and creating an environment for economic growth, will provide North County residents with an advocate who shares their priorities and understands how to get the job done.”

The former President of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association and the Lincoln Club of San Luis Obispo County, Peschong spent a number of years leading organizations committed to educating taxpayers and advocating for fiscal responsibility in government. As a Supervisor, he will continue to champion the efficient use of public dollars while working to enhance public safety and create a long-term plan for water storage and supply.

In addition to his commitment to keeping elected leaders accountable, Peschong has served the community as a member or supporter of numerous organizations, including the Templeton Education Foundation, Paso Robles Childrens Museum, Art for Children, Cattlemen’s Association, SLO County Farm Bureau and the local 4-H. He also spent nearly a decade as a gubernatorial appointee to the Mid-State Fair Board of Directors.

John Peschong is running for First District Supervisor, which includes the City of Paso Robles as well as the communities of Templeton, Heritage Ranch, San Miguel, Shandon, Oak Shores and Adelaida. He lives in Templeton with his wife, Anna, and their two children.
