Templeton, CA— Community leader and small business owner, John Peschong has earned the endorsement of four former San Luis Obispo County Supervisors and longtime community leaders. Supervisors Harry Ovitt, Mike Ryan, Jerry Lenthall, and Jerry Diefenderfer now join the 7,287 Primary voters who are supporting John Peschong’s campaign for supervisor.

In addition to serving on the county board for three decades, Ovitt was also a member of the Paso Robles City Council and Planning Commission for 11 years. When asked about his support, Ovitt said, “John has dedicated countless hours to this community and understands the values we cherish as well as the issues we face. He will make an immediate impact on the board by using his experience to make decisions for the betterment of San Luis Obispo County.”

A small business owner, committed husband and proud father of two, Peschong has called San Luis Obispo County home for nearly two decades. Through his community involvement, Peschong has demonstrated a selfless leadership style that has benefitted numerous community organizations and impacted those around him.

John spent nearly a decade as a Gubernatorial appointee on the California Mid-State Fair Board of Directors; he is the founder of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association, and member or supporter to organizations such as the Templeton Education Foundation, Art for Children, Paso Robles Children’s Museum, Cattlemen’s Association, SLO County Farm Bureau, and the local 4-H.

“As our community continues to grow, it’s imperative that we acknowledge and protect our farming and ranching industries which are the backbone of this region,” said Diefenderfer. “John is the only candidate in this race who has a history of supporting these industries and its families, and he will protect a way of life that has created local jobs for more than a century.”

As a supervisor, Peschong will continue to advocate for policies that create local jobs and protect the area’s taxpayers, while working to create a long-term plan for water storage and supply. He also plans to address the growing number of gang-related crimes in the area.

“John is committed to seeing this community succeed on every level,” said former Supervisor and retired San Luis Obispo County police sergeant Jerry Lenthall. “He also understands that public safety is the foundation on which all else is built, and will work with local departments to combat growing issues such as gang violence.”

John Peschong is a candidate for First District Supervisor, which includes the City of Paso Robles as well as the communities of Templeton, Heritage Ranch, San Miguel, Shandon, Adelaida, and Oak Shores.

He lives in Templeton with his wife, Anna, and their two children.
